Seasonal Shoe Order

It’s time. Time to order shoes. So, today we pulled out all the shoes of years past. And it looks like we will only need shoes for the eldest two and maybe a pair for Lil’ Buddy.
So I went to Lands End and printed out their handy measuring tool. (Just click on the link in the sizing chart for boys or girls shoes or here – Kids’ Footwear Size Chart). Everybody came and measured. It was a growth chart of children’s feet!

This helped not only with only overstocks orders, it also helped us know which recycled pairs to pull from our own personal overstock storage :)

I’ve been ordering this way for many years now. I’ve bought cheap shoes before – and had to go and buy another pair. Paying more money in the long run. Buying from Lands End I’ve found that at least two of my children can get wear out of the same pair. They also wide shoes for the two that need them.
And, the best part? Everybody is sized in my own kitchen.

About Hodgepodgemom

Tricia faces a daily dose of chaos homeschooling five children – preschoolers to high schoolers. The biggest lesson she’s learned? At the end of the day – when the dishes are put away and the children are tucked in bed – truly what matters is each child’s relationship with the Lord. Raising children is a God-given privilege and, folks, the time is short.
