Mixes for Christmas

We spent a little bit of time yesterday mixing up some mixes out of Southern Plate’s new cookbook. We picked the Peach Crisp mix. Over on Christy’s site, she shows how to have the children color a homemade label to go over the canned peaches.
Just a few ingredients to mix up and put in a mason jar. A nice peach crisp ready for a loved one to tuck in the oven and warm up this winter!

The cookbook recipes are also available on the Southern Plate website:
Peach Crisp Mix
Chocolate Gravy
Hot Chocolate Mix

I’m also thinking it would be a good idea to get some black-raspberry jam to accompany a mix of Mama Ann’s morning bars. Oh, I’d like that myself.

About Hodgepodgemom

Tricia faces a daily dose of chaos homeschooling five children – preschoolers to high schoolers. The biggest lesson she’s learned? At the end of the day – when the dishes are put away and the children are tucked in bed – truly what matters is each child’s relationship with the Lord. Raising children is a God-given privilege and, folks, the time is short.
