Helpful Habit – Keeping up the habit of sharing a helpful habit on Fridays. Today’s habit is a whole ‘nother post. Afternoon Quiet Time Part Three – Questions. Since sharing about this, the anchor of our day, I’ve received several questions. I answer specifics in a post earlier today.
Besides the hodgepodge in the photo collage above, this week was primarily review with Tapestry of Grace. I shared those benefits earlier in the week. History review, research skills, writing – for all our ages and stages – in Tapestry of Grace Unit Review with Lapbook.
Younger ones practiced a Following the Steps exercise from Slow and Steady Get Me Ready. They helped make quesadillas and set the table for lunch.
Kindergartener practiced reading with Alphaphonics. (Sentences sort of like the chaos that goes on around here sometimes?)
We made a day of living math when the batteries for the computer mouse weren’t working. Popcorn estimation experiments, Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day and putting breakfast cereal boxes in order based on amount of sugar. Living Math – Still Loving It!
And enjoyed much outdoor time surrounded by fall colors, including a Thistles and Sunshine Nature Study (with a stick fort).
Many thanks to our Friday hostesses…
Camera Phone Friday hostess Dawn Camp @ My Home Sweet Home and…
Weekly Wrap-Up hostess Kris at Weird, Unsocialized Homeschoolers.
And a question for you. What fall colors are you enjoying?
