We love Where the Sidewalk Ends, too! We enjoy reading along with Shel Silverstein on CD. When I was a young girl, my favorite poem from the book was Sick.

Thank you for sharing your favorite books. We like the Nature Readers and will be reading the Grandma’s Attic books soon. My almost 8 year old likes the Imagination Station books and the Step Up readers about historical characters. I can’t wait to read your next post! :)

GA – I used to read 2 poems every day at the end of the day from Where The Sidewalk Ends to my second graders and they loved them! I’m going to pass your list along to my friends that teach 2nd grade.
    Love, Mrs. Paige

Littlest Girl, I am so glad you like to read! That was my favorite activity at your age. I also love the Grandma’s Attic books– though I didn’t discover those til I was a Mommy reading them to my little girls!
