About Hodgepodgemom

Tricia faces a daily dose of chaos homeschooling five children. The biggest lesson she’s learned? At the end of the day – when the dishes are put away and the children are tucked in bed – truly what matters is each child’s relationship with the Lord. Raising children is a God-given privilege and, folks, the time is short.

Always try to find time for art. This year I found some Advent Names of Jesus ornaments. We made several sets, one for us and a few to give away. So much fun. Will do a few other things yet before Christmas actually gets here.

Yes I have several art projects planned. Some of them are Christmas presents and some are decorations for the house 🙂

Even though I know it should be included, we have done nothing in the way of Art all these years. I really think that my children would enjoy this!

we are trying to allow more time for art by drawing something every day. I have never been good at art, so it is a struggle to remember its importance sometimes. The children really enjoy it, though, so we putter on.

We always do art projects. One of the art projects we are doing is making Christmas tree ornaments as toilet paper roll stars at a local elderly house!

I am sorry to say that I have not incorporated much art into our homeschool schedule. We have done some art appreciation, but not many actual art projects. I am so happy I found your site and am excited to try some of your chalk tutorials! Thanks so much for hosting the giveaway. 🙂

We’re using Truth in the Tinsel and each day is a new art project that goes along with the books. The kids are really enjoying it – even my teenager! 🙂

Yes, we’ve done a Christmas creative lettering lesson, and our pastor is using my daughter’s piece as the bulletin cover on Christmas Eve! We’re also making many of our gifts: jewelry, framed writing, etc.

My 9yr old son has been turned off art since he had a bad incident with a school teacher who tore up his drawing. After much prodding I convinced him to do one of your tutorials. He enjoyed it! This would really boost his love of art & make him forget about his bad past experience when he sees that art is a God given gift to us…
