Every Word

Matthew 4:4

Jesus answered, “It is written; ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”

Every Word at Habits for a Happy Home This year God is calling me to draw close to him through his word. Not just the ones I like, the comforting, sheltering words, but Every Word. Many times I find myself disagreeing with something in the Bible, I don’t fully understand.

1 Corinthians 13:12

For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known.

This is the year for me to read and begin to understand the Word. To read a portion of the Bible every day and to work hard at finding meaning and understanding so that I can be fully in agreement with the Lord. Should I not try to come to a fuller understanding now, instead of waiting for the time when I will fully know and be known? For me it is time to begin to know God’s word.

Will you join me?
