It is official. It is Christmas break at our house. And that means I’ll be hearing, “I’m bored!” before we’ve even finished breakfast.
So we’ve decided to resurrect the I’m Bored Jar we used this summer and fill it with Christmas activities. Such as:
- Make cookies
- Wrap presents
- Make paper snowflakes
- Color Christmas pictures
- Make cards for friends and family
- Put together a box of food for a local food pantry
- Make ornaments
- Sit by the fire and read Christmas stories
- Drink some hot chocolate
- Have a pajama party
The list could go on and on. These are things we want to each year anyway. But getting them in that jar means I won’t say, “maybe tomorrow.” I’ll say, “Yes! Let’s do that right now!”
Now that’s smart! We’ll pull ours out too. What a great idea.
Great idea, thank you for sharing. My son gets out for Christmas break next week and I’m sure I’ll hear that a lot.
This was just the idea I needed. Thank you!!! Starting an I’m Bored Jar now 🙂
Great list!! I have to make one of these jars. I meant to the first time you mentioned it!! Thanks for reminding me =)
