They have been with Jesus

While driving home from church one Sunday I overheard the following conversation.

Eight year old, ” Oh, no I can’t find my God time card. I know I put it in my Bible.”

From the back of the van seven year old yells to eight year old…. ” You just need to dig deeper into the Scriptures.” 🙂

Little did the seven year old know how much truth he had spoken. Many of us are all talk, but little action when it comes to the habit of reading  God’s Word.

Let us not forsake the habit of digging into the Word, so that those around us may know that today we have been with Jesus.

Acts 4:13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated, common men, they were astonished. And they recognized that they had been with Jesus.

oh, yes, exactly. all talk about doing it, and not doing it. Thanks for this illustration and incouragement to dig deeper today. today was a GOOD day for reading in God’s word, for me personally. And I’m thankful for having a new day for when I neglect, fall behind, and just need a short break. God is so good, revealed so fully in His Word. Thanks again.
